"Great integration with Datarails and a lot of help for reporting of 15+ companies in our Group"
What do you like best about Datarails?

Near perfect integration with QBO and with other accounting softwares and very easy to implement. Great automation, a lot of steps which mitigate manual mistakes and help with monthly and weakly reporting. Further, they have great customer support with great finance and accounting knowledge as well as great tehnical experties. Very user friendly software which is not hard to learn. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

When it comes to dashboards, there are some limitations in building it. We are still using some Excel built-in charts and our custom made dashboards, but hopefully we are trying to switch completly to Datarails. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A Game Changer for Finance Teams"
What do you like best about Datarails?

What I like best about Datarails is how seamlessly it integrates with Excel while automating so many of the manual tasks finance teams usually struggle with. It saves time, reduces errors, and makes reporting much faster and more reliable. The integration with NetSuite is also a 10 out of 10 — smooth, efficient, and incredibly helpful for syncing data without hassle. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

What I dislike about Datarails is that it requires a fair amount of initial onboarding and support to fully understand the platform and customize it to your needs. While the support team is great, the learning curve at the beginning can be a bit steep. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A great FP&A tool for reporting - Great team to help Implementation"
What do you like best about Datarails?

Datarails offers a great way to cleanly show concise data that can be drilled down into. I love the drill downs to the lowest level. Once you're set up it's really easy to use. I also love how easy it is to work with Excel. The data in datarails can also be extracted into excel means it is as diverse as you like. This takes some tweaking to get right but once it's there it's a dream to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

It's clearly still a new system, a few of the widgets need work and there are some nuances you come across every so often that shows how young it is in development. However, they have been quick to rectify a lot of these so credit to the team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"People & Productivity"
What do you like best about Datarails?

The team, first and foremost, established a strong foundation for us to build upon, beginning with platform education and user experience.

The platform is intuitive, and the fact that we could work with our Datarails counterpart to tackle actual work, and in the process learn more about the system, was an ideal approach to internalizing the Datarails features.

The features accommodate a variety of different workflows, and saved us manual time and effort instead of regularly manipulating Excel files to update charts and tables, for instance.

Our Datarails counterpart was also very accessible, which accelerated our track up the learning curve. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

This is less of a critique of Datarails, but it's always a tug of war bridging the gap between daily power users and extended team members that are not regularly using a software, and how to convince non-regular users to abandon existing processes (bad habits) in favor of new processes (good habits). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Yonina Berman of Datarails

Thank you for your feedback! It's great to hear that the onboarding and hands-on support have been helpful. We're glad Datarails is making an impact and helping save time and cut down on manual Excel work. Appreciate you taking the time to share!

"Datarails has taked DAYS out of our monthly reporting/consolidation process"
What do you like best about Datarails?

My company has tripled in size in the past three years due to aggressive acquisition. The monthly reporting and consolidation process previously took days due to multiple QB companies and excel consolidation. Ability to analyze our results was limited. Following implementation of Datarails, the consolidation process takes minutes. Even better, we can drill down and truly analyze our results. Our implementation specialist, Antonia Bona, was incredible to work with! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

Hard to think of any. Value for the product is wonderful and they keep adding features and benefits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Datarails is a Game-changer!"
What do you like best about Datarails?

Datarails has completely transformed how we manage financial data, reporting, and forecasting. As an operations leader, I’ve worked with a variety of tools over the years, and none have delivered the same level of visibility, automation, and control as Datarails.

What sets it apart is its ability to integrate seamlessly with Excel while centralizing and structuring our financial data. This means we no longer spend hours manually consolidating reports or tracking down errors—Datarails does the heavy lifting, giving us back valuable time and significantly reducing risk.

The platform is intuitive, the implementation was smooth, and the support team is incredibly responsive and knowledgeable. It’s also been a huge win for cross-functional collaboration. Our finance, operations, and executive teams are now all working from the same source of truth.

Datarails has empowered us to make faster, more confident decisions, and for that, it truly is a game-changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

The implementation time can take long depending on complexity of company and systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"DR has made it much easier and quicker for our company to draft its annual budget."
What do you like best about Datarails?

It interfaces very well with Microsoft Excel and NetSuite, making it much easier for the Finance Dept. to gather and analyze data. The learning curve was very short Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

Our budget comprises many budget worksheets & schedules, which DR consolidates. We find DR a little slow when refreshing and synchronizing all the sheets. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Anouk Amar of Datarails

Thank you for your updated review Jorge! As a company and team, we're constantly trying to improve and get better. Thanks for being a part of this journey with us!

"Streamlined Our Budget Process and Dashboards"
What do you like best about Datarails?

We've been using Datarails primarily for budget consolidation and dashboard reporting, and it’s been a fantastic addition to our financial planning process. The ability to easily consolidate multiple budgets, track revisions, and manage different versions without the chaos of endless Excel files has been a huge time-saver.

What really stands out is how Datarails integrates seamlessly with our existing Excel models while adding a much more powerful layer of control, visibility, and automation. The dashboards are intuitive and flexible — they make it easy to visualize key metrics and share insights with leadership in a clean, interactive way.

The platform is reliable, user-friendly, and their support team is responsive and helpful anytime we need assistance. Datarails has made our budgeting cycles more organized, efficient, and insightful. Highly recommend it for any finance team looking to level up their FP&A capabilities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

Overall, Datarails has been a solid tool for our finance team, especially for budget consolidation and dashboard reporting. It’s made managing multiple budgets and creating dynamic reports much easier, and the ability to work within our existing Excel models is a huge plus.

That said, the backend can be a little tricky at times. Tracing where certain data points are pulling from or how links between files and reports are connected isn’t always as straightforward as I’d like. It can take a bit of digging to figure out the source of a number or to troubleshoot a connection issue, especially in more complex models.

Even with that, the platform has been a big improvement over our previous process, and the support team is generally quick to help when these issues come up. If they continue to improve transparency in the backend and make data mapping clearer, it would be close to perfect. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Yonina Berman of Datarails

Thank you so much for your detailed review! We're happy to hear Datarails has helped streamline your budgeting and reporting processes, and that the Excel integration and dashboards have been valuable tools for your team. We appreciate your note about backend transparency and are glad our support team has been helpful. Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience!

"Positive Experience with Limited BI & Dashboarding Functionality"
What do you like best about Datarails?

The Excel add-in is by far one of Datarails' strongest features. It allows users to work within the familiar Excel environment while leveraging automated data consolidation, version control, and real-time syncing with the platform. This significantly reduces manual work, eliminates the risk of broken formulas or outdated files, and enables more efficient and accurate reporting. It strikes a great balance between flexibility and control, making it easy for finance teams to scale their processes without giving up their preferred tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Datarails?

One of the main challenges was how siloed the workspaces were. While Datarails offers strong functionality for managing financial data, the separation between workspaces made it difficult to collaborate across teams or share insights seamlessly. This often resulted in duplicated efforts and limited visibility into what other teams were working on. A more integrated environment—or improved cross-workspace collaboration tools—would greatly enhance usability and efficiency across an organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
