""Mastering My Projects with Visual Studio — 2 Years of Django to Debugging""
What do you like best about Visual Studio?

Visual Studio makes coding much easier with its smart IntelliSense feature. It automatically suggests code, helps find errors quickly, and supports many programming languages.

I've been using Visual Studio from last 2 years, and its extensions make it the best for coding. You can easily add tools that suit your development needs. The reusability of code becomes easier, and it shows errors in real-time, which saves a lot of debugging time. The best part is that you can do everything — from frontend coding to backend development and even database management — all in one place. It's a complete full-stack solution for developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio?

The startup time is often slow, especially when multiple extensions are installed. The unpaid version of Blackbox isn’t very effective and lacks many useful features. Also, sometimes two different extensions conflict with each other, causing functionality issues.

Also, multiple windows and tabs often make it complex to use, especially when creating or managing new files. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"An essential tool for modern developers"
What do you like best about Visual Studio?

What attracts me most to Visual Studio Code is its lightness and the vast number of available extensions, which allow for complete customization of the development environment. The native integration with Git, the intelligent IntelliSense, support for multiple languages, and the intuitive interface make the coding experience much more productive. Additionally, the active community ensures the tool's constant evolution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio?

Although VS Code is extremely efficient, when many extensions are installed, it can become slow or crash, especially on machines with fewer resources. Another point is that for very large projects, sometimes more robust IDEs can offer better performance in certain languages, such as Java or C++. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code: The Ultimate IDE for All Geeks"
What do you like best about Visual Studio?

Visual Studio Code has amazing extension support, and it comes with tons of awesome features that other IDEs just don’t offer. It’s super easy to customize, and the minimalistic settings UI is just perfect—I’d rate it 100%! It’s clean, beginner-friendly, and easy to learn. Plus, with such a wide variety of extensions, it’s got everything you could ever need for coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio?

To be completely honest, I haven’t really felt like anything major is missing in VS Code. I have a pretty good machine, and I haven’t faced any significant issues like performance problems or annoying bugs. The only thing that bothers me a little is that I sometimes have to log in multiple times to sync my settings. It’s a minor inconvenience, but I’m sure it’ll be fixed in future updates. "Friend of developer is Visual Studio"
What do you like best about Visual Studio?

Visual Studio is one of the most popular and powerful integrated development environments (IDEs), and there's a lot to like about it. First and foremost, Visual Studio’s IntelliSense is incredibly helpful. Robust Debugging Tools. Seamless Integration with Azure and Git.Multi-Platform Development

With .NET MAUI, Blazor, and support for Xamarin, Visual Studio enables cross-platform development from a single codebase. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio?

While Visual Studio is a powerful and feature-rich IDE, it’s not without its drawbacks. Here are some common criticisms and pain points:

1.It consumes a lot of memory and CPU, especially with large solutions.

2.Installing Visual Studio, particularly with multiple workloads (e.g., .NET, C++, MAUI), can take a long time.

3. Updates are frequent and often large, and sometimes they disrupt workflow with unexpected changes or regressions.

4. Platform-Specific Limitations, for mac it's stopped supporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Review on Visual Studio"
What do you like best about Visual Studio?

What I like best about Visual Studio is its powerful IntelliSense, which makes coding faster and easier with real-time code suggestions. The integrated debugger is incredibly helpful for identifying and fixing issues efficiently. I appreciate the seamless Git integration for version control. Visual Studio's support for multiple programming languages and project types makes it versatile. The user interface is clean, customizable, and beginner-friendly. Its vast extension marketplace allows developers to tailor the IDE to their workflow. Built-in tools like Live Share enable real-time collaboration. Performance profiling and diagnostics tools are also very useful. It supports Azure integration out of the box. Overall, it’s a robust and comprehensive development environment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio?

What I dislike about Visual Studio is that it can be quite heavy and slow to load, especially on older machines. The installation process is lengthy and requires significant disk space. Sometimes, it feels bloated with too many features that aren't always needed. It can occasionally crash or freeze during large projects. Updates are frequent and can disrupt workflow. The licensing for the full version is expensive for individual developers. Its performance with large solutions can degrade over time. Customizing settings can be overwhelming for beginners. Some extensions cause instability. Despite its power, it’s not always the most lightweight or responsive IDE. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My go-to IDE is Visual Studio"
What do you like best about Visual Studio?

The UI is very clean and things are easy to find. It auto-suggests extensions to be installed, making the platform flexible for any type of file ranging from Python code files and python notebooks to even PDFs. I use it on a regular basis for my work as well as personal projects. Installation of new packages is seamless as they get integrated easily without much manual coding. Code implementation is very easy due to the suggestions that come up when typing. The variable names are readily available in dropdown and the highlighting of errors before even code compilation saves so much time for the user. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio?

While there is an option to either open a file or a folder, it is sometimes difficult to open two different project folders simultaneously. The option is not readily available so most of the times I have to re-open the other project folder while closing the current one. Customer support is not very helpful as it is hard to just navigate to it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
