Top Customer Data Platforms for Software Companies

Hey all, I’m exploring customer data platforms (CDPs) to help unify and activate user data across our product, marketing, and support tools. We’re a software company with multiple user touchpoints, so we’re looking for something that can give us clear, actionable insights—without turning into a data black hole.

Here are some of the top-rated CDPs I’ve found on G2, and I’d love to hear how they’re working for others in the software space:

  1. Insider: It focuses heavily on personalization and omnichannel engagement. It sounds powerful for growth teams, but does it require a lot of setup?
  2. Bloomreach: Combines customer data with content and product discovery. Curious if it’s a good fit for B2B SaaS, or more retail-oriented?
  3. WebEngage: Offers CDP features alongside automation, analytics, and engagement tools. Anyone using this to centralize behavioral data?
  4. FullStory: More of a digital experience platform, but it captures deep user behavior data. Can it pull double duty as a CDP?
  5. Dotdigital: Known for email and engagement tools with some CDP functionality layered in. Wondering how well it integrates with other platforms.

Has anyone used one of these with a product analytics stack like Amplitude or Mixpanel? I’m hoping to avoid creating more silos, not just shifting them around.
