What do you like best about Dotdigital?

I love the email builder and the reporting. The segmentation is fab too. I also found it really easy to connect it to our CRM once I'd figured out the settings menu. Very happy with the quality of the emails we're creating in DotDigital and the data that we're getting about our audience. What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

There was a lot to take in to begin with (i.e lots of features). I found the settings menu a little unintuitive to begin with, but now I've got to grips with it, it makes more sense. Just a bit of trial and error, but our Project Manager, Sarah, was very patient with all my questions. A bit of confusion is to be expected when you’re moving to a more complex, efficient system! Dotdigital’s flexibility and automation options have transformed the way we manage customer engagement. From segmentation and personalisation to cross-channel messaging, it delivers real impact. The onboarding process was incredibly smooth thanks to Sarah Forbes, who has been outstanding—quick to respond, knowledgeable, and genuinely supportive throughout. Her guidance made the setup feel effortless. The UI is intuitive, integrations are seamless, and Insight Data has significantly improved our targeting and reporting. What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

While the platform is powerful, some of the more advanced features (like programmatic content blocks or complex automation journeys) could benefit from more in-app guidance or examples. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

I recently worked with Dotdigital on an HTML project to develop a new email template, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. Sharon, who led the project, was an absolute pleasure to work with—patient, clear in her explanations, and always helpful.

The entire process ran smoothly, with everything delivered on time or even ahead of schedule. The training Sharon provided was thorough and easy to follow, and the final product has exceeded expectations—it looks fantastic and functions exactly as we hoped. Honestly, there was nothing I disliked about the experience. The project ran smoothly from start to finish, communication was clear and timely, and the end result was exactly what we needed—if not better. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

Dotdigital is a brilliant platform.

As a marketeer I've had experience using many different platforms but I've never experienced a platform that holds such detailed insights that come out of the box. In my opinion, the 'user personas' it generates are valuable and one of the best features.

Not to mention the integration with Magento is seamless.

What do you like best about Dotdigital?

The Dotdigital interface is extremely user-friendly. The layout is clean and easy to navigate, and was easy to integrate. The customer support is second to none. The vast library of support articles and the responsiveness of the customer support team has been so helpful. There has never been a question too big or too small for the support team to assist me with. The Dotdigital Academy courses have helped me stay on top of the latest tools and strategies, which is key in an ever-evolving field like marketing. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

Started using Dotdigital in Jan 2025 after a successful tendering process, great onboarding team and plenty of ongoing support as we ramp up our efforts to integrate our bookings data into the system. System is easy to understand and use and training videos were great and support team on hand to help if you come stuck with anything. We have been sending comms using Dotdigital for almost 6 months now and users are pleased with ease of creating emails and the reporting is good.

Particularly a fan of the automated programs (workflows) that either come pre defined or can be created from scratch, we have ones that create look-a-like audiences in Facebook and Google Ads as well developed advanced welcome and reengagement programmes.

What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

Dotdigital uses a language called liquid markup to help show values from orders / abandoned baskets etc and this take a bit of time to get used too and whilst the help system provides syntax and some examples for any complicated data requests you are likely to need their specialist help via service credits and these cost money. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

Our success manager Sean is THE BEST and meeting him finally face to face last week was superb. The system overall is really good and even in our "offline" way of working the reporting works. Not really keen on the AI bot on the chat - but when I eventually get to a human they are FAB!!! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

There appears to be no functionality to do "service" style emails that need to work across our business and this is a rather major floor. There are some of our contacts who need to be contacted regardless of if they have opted out of "marketing" emails. Would be interested to see if there was a way around this. What do you like best about Dotdigital?

I think Dot Digital is a great platform, I have used it across 2 jobs over the last 5 years or so and always found it to be leading ESP. I really enjoy how easy the email builder is to use, creating automations and segments is also really easy and effective.

I think the integrations you can make are also great, we recently started using a parent and child account to work with two sister brands and found it really easy to set up, especially with our account manager now on hand to help with any issues.

We use Dot Digital every day and have never have serious issues, I have been able to show less experienced colleagues how to use the paltform and get the up to speed very quickly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Dotdigital?

We have never had any issues with Dot Digital as a platform, we did have a period of 1-2 years where we didnt have an account manager. I believe a period of change at Dot Digital caused this to happen but since it was picked up around Christmas it has been a perfect experience, with our account manager on hand at every turn to help us Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
