"Frustratingly rigid and inefficient platform"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Nothing... there is not a value proposal compare with others. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

The platform is extremely inflexible. Making any change to a booking takes far too long — sometimes hours — to the point that it’s easier to cancel and rebook from scratch, which is inefficient and costly.

For example, with AVE/RENFE in Spain, I can’t make changes either at the station or via Navan. The app claims it’s RENFE’s limitation, which isn’t true — booking directly with RENFE allows changes.

Another major pain point is flight bookings. I’m forced to book flights through Navan, but the booking details are often incomplete or incorrect. When flying to Barcelona, I frequently can’t check in online because the system either doesn’t recognize the locator or provides invalid ticket info. This results in unnecessary time wasted at airport counters.

This is, hands down, the worst travel experience I’ve had. I will only continue using it because it’s mandatory at my company, but I would never recommend it to anyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"I recommend Navan to ALL of my business connections."
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I love the idea that I get rewards basically three times. My loyalty rewards from hotels and flight lines and then Navan rewards us when booking, AND they give us cash back for all employee bookings. I also love how professional the itineraries and trip plans are presented to our employees. Everyone takes control by booking what they need within policy. Very easy to set up and it also integrates with Expensify and other tools you might use. Customer Support is very responsive. I use it for all client and employee travel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I don't like that you can't use your rewards on business travel. You can only use it on your personal travel. I think they can do better with their group bookings. I don't like the guests to book their own travel. As the company host I prefer to book it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Don't believe what you see on the Navan account"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Navan was provided by the company I work with, it looked like a good idea to use the points from my business trips for my personal trips, until I've booked my first (and last) personal trip. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I booked and paid for a round-trip flight 7280238 (Berlin–Antalya–Berlin) through Navan, and everything look fine on the account, but on fact only one leg of the journey appeared on the airline’s website, which I discovered by chance. Fortunately there was almost a month before the flight to solve the issue.

I contacted support repeatedly for several weeks, and despite numerous chats with different agents and empty promises of updates within 72 or 5 hours or during the day, I never received a working PNR or confirmation of both flights. Weeks later, I still have no complete itinerary, no refund, and no accountability — just blame-shifting to the airline and zero follow-through. Navan’s handling of this issue nearly ruined my vacation. I cannot recommend them to anyone relying on timely, responsible travel service.

If you're contacting their support don't forget to screenshot and save all the conversations to the text file, there's no history log on the account Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My Experience With Navan - Work and Personal"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I use Navan through work for all of my work travel needs and it is SO easy to use. I go on at least 5 trips a year with work and so I use it often. It includes many features, my favorite being that it keeps track of all of my memberships and then gives me the best deal for those while booking for work. I book flights, hotels, and car rentals and the prices are fair for my organization and super easy to shift. Customer support is always available and sometimes I use it for personal trips because they give me great deals. I also use it to keep up with my work credit card spending, which is also easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Sometimes when it is keeping track of my spending, it automatically puts the purchase into a category that is wrong, so then I have to go back and tweak it to fix it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Travel Management with Navan"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I am having wonderful services and experience with Navan. The best thing is to connect with Agents anytime to provide customize advice and solution (my favorites).

User-Friendly Interface: The platform is intuitive and easy to navigate, making booking and managing travel simple for both individuals and teams.

All-in-One Travel & Expense Management: Navan combines travel booking, itinerary management, and expense tracking in one place, streamlining workflows.

Real-Time Support: 24/7 customer service is often praised for being responsive and helpful, especially during travel disruptions.

Smart Booking Features: Personalized recommendations, policy compliance prompts, and cost-saving suggestions help users make better travel decisions.

Mobile App Convenience: The mobile app allows travelers to manage bookings, submit expenses, and get support on the go.

Corporate Travel Insights: Admins and finance teams appreciate the detailed reporting and analytics tools for tracking travel spend and trends. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Though, overall, I like Navan's but there are occasions where I need expertise and scope for improvements.

Limited Flexibility in Booking Options

Glitches or Bugs in the App: Occasional technical issues, such as app crashes or syncing problems with itineraries or expenses, can be frustrating.

Customer Support Delays During Peak Times: Although generally responsive, some users report slower support during high-demand periods or complex travel disruptions.

Strict Corporate Policy Enforcement: For employees, the platform’s enforcement of company travel policies can feel restrictive, limiting personal preferences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Navan – Travel Made Simple and Stress-Free"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

What I like best about Navan is how it takes the stress out of booking business trips. Everything’s quick, easy, and flexible, so I can focus on work instead of juggling flights and hotels. Plus, the app keeps everything organized in one place, which is a lifesaver when I’m on the go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Sometimes the app can be a little slow to update changes or cancellations, which can be a bit annoying when plans shift last minute. But overall, it’s pretty reliable and makes travel way easier than it used to be. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to navigate and decide on the best flights and hotels"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I love that the filtering and searching options are thorough. I have the ability to sort and filter by hotel group, airline alliance, etc., which is really key for those of us who travel a lot for both work and pleasure and want to maximize loyalty points/miles. The costs are very clear regarding actual dollars, plus whether the flight/hotel is in/out of policy, which reduces headaches when it comes to "justifying" expenses to our accounting team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I had one issue where the hotel did not get the corporate credit card information before I arrived at the hotel, which resulted in some back and forth with Navan and the hotel to verify the card information and that it was, in fact, a company card. Ideally, manual work never would have had to be done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very Impressed With Navan"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I use Navan primarily for business trips. I love how it is integrated with our corporate virtual expense credit card so that I am not paying out of pocket for things only to wait to be reimbursed later. The UI is simple and intuitive. I love how it finds different options based on criteria I supply and the fact that it lets me build itineraries to organize multiple different business trips with ease. I also love how it provides me notifications if my selections exceed my company's policy for the type of trip I am booking.

There was one time where a hotel that I booked was unable to process the corporate virtual credit card. Navan customer support was able to get the issue sorted out right away without any problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I did notice that sometimes when searching for flights, not all options available via the airlines directly are listed via Navan.

That's the only issue I have found with the platform thus far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easiest user-friendly app for tracking and submitting expenses"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

Coming from a prior company that also used a system called Concur which allowed for easy upload and sending of receipts, along with my current employer that utilized Certify, Navan combines and advances on the best of those programs. I use the app frequently, making many purchases for our marketing group and it is head and shoulders above the competition. No more monthly collection of receipts or lagging behind on collecting my expenses because the process to collect your receipt is instantaneous. Once I complete the purchase, the notification appears on my phone to add the receipt, and from there I add our business categories and cost centers and submit the expense. For personal expenses that are to be reimbursed, the process is also easy and will result in a reimbursement in about 3 business days, which means you are no longer waiting for weeks or months without your reimbursements being received. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

So far there is nothing I dislike. Customer service is great and will respond if you find a better price. Ease of implementation was also top notch being an application that can accept photos of receipts or actual receipt files alike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Transforming Our Expense Process with Navan’s Intuitive Platform"
What do you like best about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

I’ve been using Navan as an Administrator for over two years, and during this time, we’ve been able to implement significant improvements in the proper classification of our company’s expenses. The platform is user-friendly, and the continuous updates have been incredibly helpful in streamlining our processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Navan (Formerly TripActions)?

One area where Navan could improve is the response time for unidentified charges, which can sometimes be slow. However, the overall experience has been very positive, especially thanks to the excellent support provided by Navan’s technical team, who are always easy to interact with and very helpful.
