What do you like best about Gong?

I like how quick, intuitive and actually useful it is. I use gong for several purposes: education (I could watch my colleagues work when was a new-joiner), call recording + notetatking + summaries & todos, and client contact automation using flows. Last part if what I like the most - there's a really nice flow editor which allows to define multiple steps (omnichannel e.g. mail + linkedin), select if it's an auto-step or a manual one with a reminder, use templates, blocks with dynamic elements and more. Then there's stats and insights which help understand how you do. Gong "Anywhere" add-on for Chrome is great - I often use it when I work in Salesforce. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Gong?

Honestly haven't came across anything that I could dislike. I tried for 2 minutes but since nothing comes to mind, I won't try to come up with flaws just to actually write something. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Gong?

I train every customer who comes through us on a zoom call. Having the ability to reference what I promised or said is a godsend. I love the fact that Gong emails you after calls to remind you of asks and promises addressed during the call. I also think that generally, it is a wonderful tool for bridging the gap between the Sales team and the Customer Success team. For a tech startup having a tool like Gong really helps keep goals on track when it comes to customer retention and growth. I don't worry about making statements I'll forget later. What do you dislike about Gong?

Sometimes it is difficult to find something you referenced in a call simply because there are things that it doesn't seem to translate well in the auto-generated transcript. I also can't seem to figure out how to just download the video file of the call (other than linking to the site), which has been frustrating for both myself as well as my customers. What do you like best about Gong?

Gong is incredibly reliable for call recordings, ensuring every conversation is captured without fail. A major upside is the unparalleled historical view it provides – we can easily look back at the entire history of calls and emails for any contact or account within our company. I particularly appreciate the ability to filter by speaker and instantly view comprehensive transcripts, which is invaluable for reviewing conversations. The summaries for follow-up emails are a huge time-saver, and the task list within Gong Engage is very useful for managing my daily activities. The Account AI feature gives me a holistic, real-time view of engagement across an account — pulling in signals from calls, emails, and activity across stakeholders. It flags risk factors like disengagement, sentiment shifts, or lack of multithreading, and gives me suggested actions before issues surface. This has made my customer reviews sharper, my renewals more predictable, and my cross-functional conversations way more informed.

Static dashboards and reports: It can be difficult to fully customize reporting views or build flexible dashboards that match unique KPIs or business models.

Limited call tagging options: Users often want more granular, automated tagging based on nuanced conversation details or internal taxonomies.

The search functionality is sometimes clunky — it doesn't always surface relevant calls or moments efficiently, especially when searching across large teams or long timeframes.

The transcript is really good on Gong. It's really easy to use. It is really a good application. The transcript feature on this app is really phenomenal. Ease of implementation on this application is really good.

What do you like best about Gong?

Gong has been an essential part of my workflow as a Business Development Representative. I primarily use it to review Discovery meetings that my Sales Executives lead, helping me gather detailed notes, AI-generated insights, and action items. It makes it easy to go back, catch anything I missed live, and prepare stronger follow-up. In previous roles, I've also used Gong to listen to peer calls, which was incredibly helpful for coaching and sharpening my talk track. What do you like best about Gong?

What I like best about Gong is its ability to capture and analyze customer conversations with incredible detail. The AI-driven insights help us understand what's working in our sales calls, identify coaching opportunities and spot deal risks early. It's also great for aligning teams - everyone from sales to product can listen to real customer feedback and make data informed decisions. The visibility it provides into pipeline health and rep performance has been a game changer for our sales strategy. Gong also promotes alignment across teams- marketing, product and leadership can all hear the voice of the customer directly which helps drive smarter decisions. What do you dislike about Gong?

While Gong is very powerful, there are a few areas that could be improved. The platform can feel a bit overwhelming at first due to sheer volume of data and features, it takes time to fully understand and configure everything. Occasionally, the AI-generated insights or call transcriptions may miss context or misinterpret accents, which can affect accuracy. What do you like best about Gong?

The ability to not have to take notes while on a call has changed the way I am able to conduct calls with clients. I can focus more on the discussion rather than having to take notes about everything the client says. Instead I can go back and listen to the call or see the transcript of summary of the call.
