What do you like best about Zoom Workplace?

What do you dislike about Zoom Workplace?

Now that MS Teams has become a leading contender (it is just as reliable and easy to use), we use MS Teams a lot more than Zoom because MS Teams has become a central app that integrates with all the other essential apps our organization uses. Zoom continues to add functionality to Workplace, but nothing that MS doesn't already have. Microsoft, however, has greatly improved MS Teams. As a not-for-profit organization, it's very cost effective to take advantage of Microsoft's discounts. Zoom is just an unnecessary cost now.

Also, their billing services are the worst I've ever had to deal with. They used to be fantastic, but something has apparently happened with their success and growth. I found myself fighting with them for the past two years to undo a mistake they made (changing us to a more expensive version that we did not request). There was little response, and I followed their terms to submit a pre-arbitration demand. It was never completely resolved and we paid over $10K for a product we did not want. We are canceling our business licenses at the end of this agreement term and going back to the Pro version where the few users who use Workplace will expense it instead of us administrating it from IT. What do you like best about Zoom Workplace?

Zoom Workplace stands out for its consistent performance, even with large meetings. The UI is intuitive, and the platform offers robust features like breakout rooms, live transcription, and seamless screen sharing. The Zoom scheduler and calendar integration make meeting planning simple and efficient. Their customer support is responsive and knowledgeable, especially in high-demand times or priority times. We rely on Zoom daily for meetings, webinars, and team collaboration, making it a daily part of life. Zoom integrates smoothly with Google Workspace, Slack, and Teams. What do you dislike about Zoom Workplace?

At times, the platform can feel slightly bloated with features that are not always relevant for every user. The webinar pricing model can be on the higher side for small teams, and occasional connection issues can arise in low-bandwidth environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zoom Workplace?

Easy to use UI. Seamless connectivity via phone or tablet or laptops. One of the few apps, where I have not experienced any bugs for the past 6 years.

Recordings are easy to access.

Integrations with Calendar and M365 makes it seamless to utilize.

All these reasons, makes me always keep using Zoom instead of Teams or Google Meet. Especially, if you have attended teams or google meet meeting, you want to come back again and again, and always use Zoom.

What do you dislike about Zoom Workplace?

AI recording and transcription could be better.

I have used Gong, Fireflies, Otter.ai, Fathom Notetaker, and a few other free tools as well.

They have a long way to go in terms of summarizing and transcribing the call. If we can customize it better, it will be easier for me to copy and paste as call or demo notes on my CRM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zoom Workplace?

The zoom has been a saviour in the most of the times in providing effortless communication app. The app is powerful , easy to use and having multiple features specialy on laptop/ desktop. It is something that we go to either zoom or google meet , but for professional purposes zoom is better. We use it almost daily in our work and coordination . What do you dislike about Zoom Workplace?

the addons on zoom are much more expensive than competitiors. Plus in the mobile app one can either chat or see the video and both cant be done at same time. which is a major issue in regards to engagement Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zoom Workplace?

You can record meetings locally or to the cloud with a single click, and the recordings are high-quality, with options to capture separate audio tracks and shared screens. It’s especially helpful for training, documentation, or team members who couldn’t attend live. The ease of implementation is another highlight—it’s fast to deploy across an organization with minimal training required. What do you dislike about Zoom Workplace?

While the core features are solid, some advanced tools like webinars or large meetings are locked behind higher-tier plans, which can be costly. Also, the in-meeting collaboration tools like whiteboarding or chat aren’t as rich as some competitors. More customization in meeting branding or UI would be nice to have. What do you like best about Zoom Workplace?

I like that the quality of audio and video is better.

Zoom's quality of background is great and accurate - the speaker can be cut out without weird blurs.

Zoom's interactive features are vast and work well for in-app use and improve engagement. I also like the newer addition where you can make certain gestures and it picks up the emoji.

It's pretty user friendly and straigth-forward, and easy to join with a click. I also like how you can automatically set how you join and the background you use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zoom Workplace?

If you have both personal and enterprise accounts, it can get a little frustrating to toggle between the two. It's also frustrating that you can't include multiple calendars (e.g. 4 work Google calendars, 2 Outlook, etc.). I sometimes can't see my meetings if I'm not logged on the right account and the backgrounds don't transfer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zoom Workplace?

I like the consistency of the product. Zoom has been able to maintain consistency in how the product operates, integrate new features, continue popular features, all without changing the basic functionality of the end product. For me, when i start using a product and each new "update" requires me to learn a new way to work with the product, it often gets overwhelming and ultimately too complex to use efficiently. Because I use Zoom Workplace very often, I see the changes as they happen, and if there is ever an issue with something not working or unclear how to use, customer support is very attentive and prompt. Also, Zoom was a very easy transition during the Covid era and the whole platform just made it easy to go from in-person meetings to meetings online with little to no interruption in the services I provide. What do you dislike about Zoom Workplace?

I do not like the fact that I cannot verbally chat with only one person in the meeting (a.k.a. sidebar) if I wanted to share something. I have to do that ONLY in the chat feature or via file share. While I can do this in a private breakout room, the host must create that room and I'd have to leave the main meeting to do so. I also do not like that if I share a pdf, for example, my attendees cannot see it. I cannot figure out why this is so. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zoom Workplace?

Honestly, what I love most about Zoom Workplace is how easy it makes everything. I don’t have to stress about figuring things out, it just works. Whether I’m hopping on a quick call, sharing my screen, or using the chat to keep up with teammates, it all feels really smooth and natural. I also like that it doesn’t get glitchy, even when my Wi-Fi isn’t perfect. Did I mention the breakout rooms? The breakout rooms are an absolute game-changer for group work. What do you dislike about Zoom Workplace?

Honestly, I really enjoy using Zoom Workplace, but there are a couple of things that could be even better. Sometimes the number of features and updates can feel a little overwhelming when I just want to stick to the basics for a quick meeting. It would be nice if there were a simpler “minimal view” option for those moments. Also, when updates change where certain settings are, it can take a little time to adjust. What do you dislike about Zoom Workplace?

i recently gave interview for software engineering role on zoom platform .. there were people in the different slots and when its your turn u are transferred from waiting room to the interview panel room. The thing i disliked most was there were no prior warning or message that i am being transferred .. i think there should be a dialog box or some kinda message that popup for few seconds stating that i should be ready..... What do you like best about Zoom Workplace?

Zoom is incredibly easy to use, even for first-time users. The interface is clean, intuitive, and requires very little setup time, making implementation smooth.
